Wegbeschreibung
The first 1.2 km of the trail runs along the narrow, paved and low-traffic road Sirchingen-Rietheim/Dottingen, parallel to the lower-lying, flat Auental valley. The broad, wooded ridge of the Beiwald stretches across the valley.
In front of us the Great Föhrenberg (858 m) looks over the edge of the forest and to the right of this, rises the Guckenberg (855 m). After a short walk in the forest, we hike down the road to the Grindelteich (740 m) at the foot of the Großer Föhrenberg (858 m). Here the Gründerelsteig branches off to the left. The Grindelsteig leads down through the wooded gorge into the Ermstal. After half a kilometer we reach the Hügelbrunnen (705 m) where a small wellspring collects (not drinking water). About 100m further on we leave the Grindelsteig and turn left onto a forest path that leads uphill in wide curves.
Eventually we arrive at the plateau and to the right of the path a large clearing opens up. Circular hiking trail 20 (Sirchinger waterfall - Blankenhorn ruins) runs through it, which now joins our route. Another short stretch through the forest and we are already at the foot of the Blasberg (766 m).
On the right you can see the first houses in Sirchingen, which belong to the Stockach residential area.
In a slight depression, near a group of trees, Tour 20 turns right. But we stay on the path that leads straight ahead and runs further along the northern slope of the Perlenberg joining the Sirchingen-Rietheim/Dottingen road at the Blasenberg hiking car park.
Here we end our tour.
Ausrüstung
Sturdy shoes, hiking poles and sure-footedness are recommended for this tour.
Sicherheitshinweise
Our circular tours are not walking, but hiking trails. Sturdy shoes, hiking poles and sure-footedness are recommended for all tours, particularly after and during rainfall and in the winter months, the limestone rock and soil can be very slippery, especially on slopes. We also point out the presence of natural forest hazards. We ask you to exercise caution.
In an emergency, always dial the number 112. If necessary, please mention that the people involved in the accident are in inaccessible terrain, so that the Bad Urach mountain rescue service is also informed and there is no unnecessary loss of time during the rescue.
On the hiking signposts of our trails, you will find a plaque with the exact location number on it. The location number consists of the letters BU and a max. 4-digit number. Communicating this number to the control centre in an emergency, helps to provide assistance faster.
Please note the current safety instructions.
