11 - Around Ramschel
Leicht
The circular hike through the former estate of the Bebenhausen monastery near Tübingen does not offer much of landscapes, but it does offer particularly interesting forest scenes. The high forest provides cool shade on hot summer days. The paths are easy to walk on, even in wet weather and there are no major inclines to overcome.

Wegbeschreibung
From the car park we first hike south-east towards the edge of the forest, the old fruit trees along the road are a reminder of the once important fruit growing on the meadows around Bad Urach-Hengen. At the junction leading down to the Schützenhaus, we continue straight on along the Obstbaum-Allee.
At the edge of the forest we turn right onto a forest path from which we have a view of the small, dry Engertle forest valley, before it leads into the Ramschel forest. At a forest hut we turn right onto a forest path and hike first through high forest, then along the edge of the mountain towards the Brucktal.
At the crossroads of our path with another forest path, we continue to the right. A sign on a tree indicates that we are in the forest district of Marienbuch. We come to the edge of the forest, where we first cross the foothills of a small wooded valley and then come to the agricultural land of the Agilshardt estate, we turn left into this path.
If you want to get to know the Hofgut Aglishardt, which is almost a kilometer away, turn right. Otherwise, hike along the old connecting road between Bad Urach-Hengen and the Aglishardt estate along the estate's fields. In a left turn, the path from the wooded Mönchsberg joins from the right, this trail is marked with a yellow triangle. In this area we now also have a beautiful view of Römerstein-Böhringen (757 m) which is surrounded by a hilly forest and meadow landscape.
Visable behind Böhringen is the Römerstein (874 m) with its lookout tower and is the highest point in the Uracher Alb.
After a short stretch through the forest we come to a clearing that belongs to the Aglishardt estate. The hamlet of Zimmerbuch once stood in this area. The view sweeps across the clearing to the area of the former Münsingen military training area around the area of the abandoned village of Gruorn, of which only the church and a few buildings remain. Behind the clearing we dive into the Zimmerbuch forest for a short time. At the edge of the forest we return to the fruit tree avenue, which leads us back to the hikers' car park.
Ausrüstung
Sturdy shoes, hiking poles and sure-footedness are recommended for this tour.
Sicherheitshinweise
Our circular tours are not walking, but hiking trails. Sturdy shoes, hiking poles and sure-footedness are recommended for all tours, particularly after and during rainfall and in the winter months, the limestone rock and soil can be very slippery, especially on slopes. We also point out the presence of natural forest hazards. We ask you to exercise caution.
In an emergency, always dial the number 112. If necessary, please mention that the people involved in the accident are in inaccessible terrain, so that the Bad Urach mountain rescue service is also informed and there is no unnecessary loss of time during the rescue.
On the hiking signposts of our trails, you will find a plaque with the exact location number on it. The location number consists of the letters BU and a max. 4-digit number. Communicating this number to the control centre in an emergency, helps to provide assistance faster.
